History of Power Climber Wind®

Power Climber Wind leverages over 60 years of leadership and experience in suspended access equipment by Power Climber and Spider, our affiliated divisions within SafeWorks, LLC.

Power Climber® has been engineering and manufacturing hoists, suspended platforms and rigging equipment for the access industry since 1972. Power Climber distributes its reliable products to world-class facility owners and rental companies across the globe. Power Climber hoists drive many Power Climber Wind solutions. These hoists, including the innovative PC3/Titan hoist, power our Sherpa Turbine Service Lifts along with our External Tower and Blade Access platforms.

Spider®, a pioneer in the North American suspended access industry in 1947 and helps contractors work safely and productively at elevation. Spider’s large rental fleet of platforms, hoists, and rigging and safety accessories offers Power Climber Wind customers a rental and service option through 24 Spider branches throughout North America.

Power Climber Wind has been providing innovative powered access solutions to the wind energy industry for over a decade.

Our Sherpa Turbine Service Lifts are available through many of the leading WTG OEMs.

Our new IBEX™ 1000 Series climb assist sets the standard for performance, safety, and ease of installation in any WTG.

Our range of External Tower and Blade Access Platforms eliminate the need for expensive cranes and enable quicker, safer, and more cost-effective external maintenance.

These innovative powered access solutions enable quick, safe and reliable access both inside and outside a turbine tower and nacelle. That means greater efficiency, more up-time, and lower cost of operation and maintenance costs for the turbine owner/operator.
